About Me

Hi there! My name is Michael and my passion is to take an idea and bring it to life, one bit at a time. My interest in development started in elementary school when I went to the career bus and looked up “careers in mathematics.” While the normal type of careers came up, the one that caught my attention was computer programming. Keep in mind, not to ager myself, this is back in the day when the internet was new and my personal experience with a computer was playing Oregon Trail in my class when finishing with my school work.

Fast forward to the present, I’ve been working in IT for the last 15 years and made my way into my development career. And I haven’t been “working” ever since. My main focus today is still working with my team at a financial institution to build applications used by financial advisors on a daily basis to help maintain their businesses.

The languages, frameworks and tools that I use just about every day are:

  • AngularJS
  • Angular 8 – 13
  • .Net Framework
  • Java
  • HTML
  • SCSS / CSS
  • Microsoft SQL Server (stored procedures, tables, and complex queries)

Some other technologies that I use regularly are:

  • Node
  • PL/SQL
  • Electron
  • .Net Core

My Collectibles

I enjoy collecting comics and I have a wide variety of titles. When going to put new ones away or find ones in my collection, it is such a pain to go through each box and figure out what is in it. Now, there are plenty of other applications out there that keep track of individual comics, but don’t do so well at the series level. So this is just a simple application which lets you create categories (it’s not just for comics), create series and associate them with locations to make it easier to find when putting away or taking out that collectible.

Auto Clicker

While not a major project, this is one that made my son think the world of me. He’s been using it for a while now and I still hear him talking to himself about how awesome it is. Warms my heart every time!

A.D.A. Association

In my current job, there is a need to fix some issues across a couple of applications so using Node to coordinate the calls to the APIS, it will reestablish the links between the systems.
